Meet the Founder

Hey there! I’m Maddy Johnson, the founder of Moxie Media. I started this agency after working in a marketing agency in Salt Lake City right out of college. Moving back to Knoxville, I began freelancing and realized there was so much more I could offer to the community. I wanted to help businesses build connections and stand out without feeling like they had to be so “corporate.” That’s how Moxie Media was born.
I’ve been in the marketing world since 2020, and throughout time I’ve learned that it’s not about perfection. It’s about being real, showing your business’s unique culture, and connecting authentically with your audience. I love working with small businesses and women entrepreneurs because I know how important it is to have someone who genuinely cares about your success. Are you currently accepting new clients?
Yes! Our content creation + photography services are always open for new bookings. Social media management and blog clients are determined after the initial inquiry and outreach call.
How long is the retainer for social media management?
Our social media management packages require a 6-month minimum retainer. This is to ensure that our clients will be able to see the results of organic marketing.
Are there any promotions going on?
We love having promotions for new clients to experience our services. Follow @moxiemediaknox on Instagram or subscribe to our email list – Social Hour – to stay updated on any specials, sales, or promos!
How do we get started?
After you fill out your client inquiry form we will review your budget, needs, and business details to find out our best options for working together. Once everything has been reviewed, you will be sent a pricing sheet and we will schedule our consultation call to figure out if we would be a good match!
